MLB betting results have been almost as bad for the Colorado Rockies as they fell below the .500 mark and have been one of the biggest money losing overlays with the MLB odds.
The Los Angeles Dodgers will host the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday night in a National League West Division rivalry matchup that is scheduled to start at 10:10 PM ET.
Ubaldo Jimenez is the probable starting pitcher for the Rockies while Jon Garland is slated to take the hill for the Dodgers.
The Dodgers had a MLB baseball betting record of 24-30 to continue their implosion and disgrace of a season. With ownership issues up in the air and a lack of talent on the field it is now easy to understand why Joe Torre left the organization after last year. The Dodgers were 13-15 at home with just 11 of those 28 home games going over the total.
LA ranked 27th in run production and 20th for staff earned run average. Andre Ethier was a bright spot with a team best .326 batting average as was Matt Kemp with a .313 average and team leading 12 home runs. Garland was 1-4 with a 4.31 earned run average.
The Rockies were 25-27 with the MLB betting odds and were 12-12 on the road. Colorado was ranked 8th for run production but was 19th for staff earned run average. Jimenez has not shown the form of last year’s magnificent season as he was 0-5 with a 5.86 earned run average.
Todd Helton led the lineup with a .303 batting average with 11 doubles, 6 home runs, and 22 runs batted in while Troy Tulowitzki was hitting just .246 but did have 9 doubles, 11 home runs, and 31 runs batted in after signing a huge multi-million dollar contract earlier in this season.
Colorado has beaten the Dodgers in 6 of the last 10 games in this head to head series which has gone over the total in 7 of the last 9 meetings. The Rockies have won 3 of their last 5 games at Dodger Stadium with the last 3 of those games going over the MLB betting total.
