MLB Betting - AL Key Series of the Week

MLB betting anticipation is growing as the AL playoff race is reaching a climax that will likely have baseball betting online fans breathless at the end.

MLB betting handicappers have tight races in the AL East and Central divisions while Texas has dominated the AL West baseball betting online race.

The New York Yankees have led the American League East for nearly all summer after the Tampa Bay Rays cooled off following a blistering pace at the start of the season.

The defending World Series champion Yankees will entertain the slumping Detroit Tigers this week and then host the last place Seattle Mariners over the weekend, which gives them a chance to pad their lead.

Tampa Bay leads the wild card race that includes top contenders Boston and Chicago. The Rays have had a tough go of it lately as they lost 7 out of 10 games and had their lead in the wild card race over Boston cut to 4 games. They were still in the AL East race just 2 games behind the Yankees.

Tampa Bay hosts a tough series against the Texas Rangers this week before traveling out to Oakland to play the pesky Athletics over the weekend.

The Boston Red Sox will host the fading Los Angeles Angels, who must catch fire with the MLB odds fast as they trailed Texas by 7.5 games and were not a realistic contender for the wild card race. Boston will host the Toronto Blue Jays over the weekend.

The Minnesota Twins ripped first place in the American League Central back from the Chicago White Sox after beating the baseball lines in 8 out of 10 games. Minnesota will host the White Sox in one of the top series of the week in a 3-game showdown that begins Tuesday at Target Field.

Minnesota will then host the Angels over the weekend while the White Sox will travel to slumping Kansas City to face the last place Royals.

After playing at Tampa Bay the Rangers will stay on the road with a weekend MLB betting series at Baltimore against the Orioles and their former manager Buck Showalter.

The Rangers are coming off an intense home stand that featured big crowds with big name opponents New York and Boston in town last week and there could perhaps be a layover effect.
