Betting baseball handicappers are beginning to think that there is no hope for the Twins as they have been unable to generate consistent play and have had plenty of baseball wagering injury issues.

The Arizona Diamondbacks will host the Minnesota Twins on Saturday night with a starting time of 10:10 PM ET.  Sports Gambling will have side and total odds on this interleague matchup so be sure to open your account and have it ready for action all weekend long as interleague play heats up the diamond!

The scheduled probable starting pitchers for this one are Scott Baker for Minnesota and Armando Galarraga of the Diamondbacks.

Minnesota has fallen flat on their faces out of the gate with just 13 wins in their first 40 games.  The Twins were 9-16 on the road with the MLB betting odds and went under the total in 16 out of 25 games.  No matter where you look the Twins have struggled as they ranked 30th in the major leagues for both run production and staff earned run average.

Baker had a record of 2-3 with a 3.99 earned run average. The big story has been the bad start of catcher Joe Mauer, a perennial All Star performer. Mauer has been battling a knee injury and was hitting just .235 with 0 home runs and 4 runs batted in.  That situation has turned ugly with fans thinking that he is not as hurt as he claims.

Arizona had a record of 18-23 and was 11-10 at home.  The Diamondbacks were an even 10-10-1 split at home with MLB baseball odds over unders.  Arizona has gotten decent production from their lineup and ranked 12th for run production but their pitching staff struggled and ranked 20th for earned run average.  Galarraga was 3-4 with a 5.91 earned run average.

Minnesota has won 7 of their last 9 games against Arizona as the series has gone under the total in 3 of the last 4 matchups.  The Twins have won 4 of their last 6 games at Arizona with just 1 of the last 6 games between the teams in Phoenix going under the betting baseball total.
