NFL Football Betting: Cleveland Browns vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Two teams looking to notch their first victory of the NFL football betting season will do battle when the Browns (0-3, 1-2 ATS) take on the Bengals (0-3, 1-2 ATS).

Kickoff for this Ohio battle is set for 1:00 PM on Sunday afternoon. When these teams hooked up in Cleveland last season, they combined for a whopping 96 points in the Browns’ exhilarating 51-45 victory. Cleveland is one of the more disappointing teams this season. Last week was the worst outing of the season, as the Browns lost in Baltimore, 28-10.

They were 2.5-point road underdogs on the NFL betting line, but never stood a chance after being outscored 21-0 in the 3rd quarter. Football betting fans who have been betting the ‘over’ in Cleveland games finally got their first victory of the season, as the game narrowly went ‘over’ the closing ‘total’ of 37; those that got in early saw their under tickets cash because of the friendly hook.

QB Derek Anderson threw three interceptions, which has sparked speculation about when 2007 first round draft choice Brady Quinn will get his chance. HC Romeo Crennel has said that the former Notre Dame star will get added reps in practice this week, insinuating that he could see some action in the very near future.

If things are bad in Cleveland, they’re arguably worse in Cincinnati. The Bengals played two uninspired games against Baltimore and Tennessee to open the season, but finally showed a pulse last week against the defending champs.

Cincy had the longest football betting odds on the board last week at (+13) in New York, but they forced the champs into overtime after tying the game on its final drive of regulation, locking the win up for NFL betting followers that backed the ugly dawg.

Even though the Bengals held RB Brandon Jacobs to 35 yards, the defense couldn’t stop the G-Men from marching the field in the extra frame, resulting in the game-winning field goal to send Cincy to 0-3. The Bengals ended up falling to the Giants by a 26-23 final tally. Oddsmakers have tabbed Cincinnati as 3.5-point favorites with the ‘total’ coming in at 44.
