NFL Betting: Arizona Cardinals vs. St. Louis Rams

The suddenly resurgent Rams (2-5, 3-4 ATS) return to NFL betting action on Sunday, when the Cardinals (4-3, 5-2 ATS) invade the Edwards Jones Dome.

Sports-Gambling.com Sportsbook will have all of the action for football betting until the game kicks off at 1:00 ET.  The Cardinals have been solid in this series of late, going 6-3 ATS in their L/9 against the Rams.  They’ve won four of the L/5 match-ups and have scored at least 34 points in each of the four victories.

It was another disastrous trip to the East Coast for Arizona, who lost to Carolina 27-23 in Week 8.  Football betting fans of the Cardinals didn’t seem to mind though, as they covered the NFL betting line by a narrow one-point margin.  QB Kurt Warner threw for 381 yards and a pair of touchdowns, but the defense let them down, allowing 351 total yards of offense.

There was no answer for WR Steve Smith, who scored a pair of touchdowns in the 3rd quarter and racked up 117 total yards.  It was the third straight cover for the Cardinals, who have rebounded nicely after getting reamed by both the Jets and Skins in Week 3 and 4.

The Rams gave the defending AFC champs everything they had on Sunday and had a real chance of picking up their third straight win under new HC Jim Haslett.  Almost 400 yards of total offense, three sacks, and two interceptions weren’t quite enough for the Rams though, who succumbed to the Pats by a 23-16 final count.

It was another victory against the football betting line for NFL betting aficionados who backed the Rams though, as they were in front of the nine-point spread the entire game.  After giving up at least 31 points in each of their first four games under Scott Linehan, the defense has made huge strides, only giving up a total of 54 points since Haslett took over; just 18 points per game.

However, there’s still plenty of work left to be done if St. Louis plans on punching its ticket to the second season.  Oddsmakers have installed the visiting Cards at three-point road favorites with the ‘total’ set at a lofty 48.5.

Whether you plan on running with the Rams or carrying a bet with the high-flying Cardinals, Sports-Gambling.com has all of the football betting action you desire, so open an account today and start winning thereafter!
