On Saturday night, two west coast teams take center stage when the Utah State Aggies (2-10 in 2007) head to “Sin City” to take on the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels (2-10 in 2007). Kickoff is slated for 10:00 PM. These two teams hooked up a year ago, with the Runnin’ Rebels posting a 23-16 victory in a game in which they were favored by 6.5-points on the football betting line.
Though Utah State was a pathetic 2-10 a year ago, they were a respectable 7-5 ATS. The Aggies were a covering machine for their college football betting fans, as they beat the NCAA football line in six of their seven road games in spite of the fact that they only went 2-5 SU in those outings.
There is hope for the Aggies this year after closing out the season with back-to-back wins over Idaho and New Mexico State. Still, their fans are hungry for a victory in Logan, as they haven’t won a home game since the middle of the ’06 season. UNLV didn’t fare any better than the Aggies did in 2007, posting an identical 2-10 SU mark.
Their football betting aficionados weren’t quite as fortunate as Utah State’s were, though, as the Runnin’ Rebels only managed to go 5-7 against the football betting line. After beating USU to start the year, UNLV almost knocked off Wisconsin, narrowly losing 20-13, but easily covered the 25.5-point spread.
It was all downhill from there though, as the Runnin’ Rebels only won one more game, and closed out the season failing to cover six of their final eight games.
NCAA odds makers have installed UNLV as a whopping 12.5-point home favorite in this match-up with the ‘total’ coming in at fair priced 49. Sports-Gambling.com Sportsbook is your home for all of your football betting needs, whether it be spread, moneyline, or ‘total’ wagering.
