NCAA Football Betting: Oregon Ducks vs. Purdue Boilermakers

Two bowl teams from 2007 hook up on Saturday when the Ducks step out of conference to take on the Boilermakers in an NCAA football betting matchup.

Kickoff from Ross-Ade Stadium is at 3:30, and has all of your football betting needs covered for this match-up!  The Ducks are ranked #16 in this week’s AP Poll, while the Boilermakers are hoping to catch the eyes of the voters with an upset over a Pac-10 school.

The biggest question in Eugene in the offseason is who would step in and fill the shoes of QB Dennis Dixon.  Though he isn’t nearly as mobile as Dixon was, Justin Roper has filled in admirably, completing 20-of-29 passes for 287 yards and two scores in his two starts this year.

Last week, Roper and the Ducks took on over-matched Utah State as 35.5-point favorites on the college football betting line.  The offense was dominant, racking up 688 yards in their 66-24 triumph that gave their football betting fans the easy victory.

Though the Boilermakers had to be happy with their 42-10 victory over Northern Colorado on Saturday, there was plenty cause for concern. The offense did rack up 402 yards, but only scored 14 points in the first two and a half quarters of game action against an FCS team that went just 1-11 last year.

College football betting followers will hope that Purdue can buck a lousy stretch of results against Pac-10 schools, as they’re just 2-4-1 against the football betting line in seven games against the conference since 1998.  Oddsmakers have installed the Ducks as 8.5-point road favorites in this Big 10/Pac-10 showdown, with the ‘total’ set at 60.

All signs point to the Ducks in this one, as they’re 7-2 ATS in their L/9 against the Big-10. Sports-Gambling Sportsbook has all of the NCAA football betting you can sink your teeth into.
