NCAA Betting: Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Oklahoma Sooners

An old NCAA betting Big 8 rivalry will take place in Norman Saturday night when the Cornhuskers head south to play the Sooners.

The Cornhuskers (5-3 SU, 4-4 ATS) easily handled the Baylor Bears last week in a 32-20 home victory.  Meanwhile, Oklahoma (7-1 SU, 5-2 ATS) went into Manhattan and dropped 55 in the first half on Kansas State en route to a 58-35 win that just covered the college football betting line.

In a conference of outstanding quarterbacks, it is easy for Nebraska QB Joe Ganz to go unnoticed, but Husker fans have been appreciating his play.  The senior QB has been nothing short of great in leading the offense with a 70% completion rate for over 2300 yards with 15 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Last week against the Bears he was again solid, completing 32-of-46 passes for 336 yards and three touchdowns without an interception.  In conference play over the past two seasons, Nebraska has struggled for NCAA bettors only covering four of their 12 games against the NCAA betting odds.

On Saturday, the Huskers will be looking to snap a three game losing streak to the Sooners.  Other than their loss to Texas, the Sooners have been a covering machine this season going 5-2 ATS per the NCAA odds despite being double-digit favorites in six of their seven FBS games this season.

Their offense, which has averaged 48.3 PPG - the highest total in the Big XII and the second highest in the nation, has been a godsend to gamblers who wager on college football games to go ‘over’ the ‘total’ with six of OU’s seven lined games cracking the 65-point barrier.

The catalyst of this offense is Heisman contending QB Sam Bradford who last week threw for 255 yards and three touchdowns against the Wildcats.  The running game has also been solid with RBs DeMarco Murray and Chris Brown rushing for 246 combined yards and three touchdowns last week.

The NCAA football lines currently find the Sooners sitting as 22-point home favorites in this affair.  Coming into the homestretch of the football season, it is important to know that the best place to bet on NCAA football is Sportsbook.
