Oregon State (4-3, 5-2 ATS) is coming off of a bye after beating the state of Washington a combined 100-26 in their previous two NCAA wagering games. The Sun Devils (2-5, 1-5 ATS) are going in the opposite direction after last week’s embarrassing 54-20 home loss to Oregon where they didn’t even come within 30 points of covering the pointspread.
Arizona State’s offense has struggled this season and is currently eighth in the Pac-10 in scoring with 19.3 PPG. QB Rudy Carpenter has certainly taken a step back this season after his success the past two years. Last week against Oregon, Carpenter went 17-of-33 for 146 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions in the 34 point loss.
The Sun Devils have lost five straight college football betting games heading into this one both SU and ATS. On the road this season, they have struggled to score points with only 14 total points in two road games. Both of those games went comfortably ‘under’ the ‘total’ per the closing NCAA betting lines.
Many college football observers thought that this would be a rebuilding year for the Beavers, but HC Mike Riley has once again proved everyone wrong and has won four of his last five and covered five in a row per the NCAA odds.
The Beavers have gotten it done with the brother combination of James and Jacquizz Rodgers who put together phenomenal numbers in their last game. Against the Huskies, the Rodgers brothers combined for 282 rushing and receiving yards and four touchdowns in the 34-13 road win and cover.
That said; Oregon State has failed to cover three of its last four NCAA football gambling games against the Sun Devils. The college football wagering line has the Beavers as 15-point home favorites in this sports betting affair with a game ‘total’ of 53.5.
