Win Bet
This horse racing bet is when you wager on a horse to finish first.

Place Bet
On this horse racing bet you wager on a horse to finish first or second.

Show
This is a horse racing bet where you wager on a horse to finish in the money; third or better.

Across the Board (Win, Place & Show)
A horse racing bet on a horse to win, place and show. If the horse wins, the player collects three ways; if second, two ways; and if third, one way, losing the win and place bets.

Exacta
This horse racing bet is one in which the first two finishers in a race, in exact order of finish, must be picked correctly.

Quinella
Horse racing bet in which the first two finishers must be picked, but payoff is made no matter which of the two wins and which runs second.

Trifecta
A horse racing bet picking the first three finishers or a horse race in the exact order.

Superfecta
A horse racing bet where you have to pick the first four finishers of a horse race in exact order.

Boxed Bet
It’s like a horse racing bet combo. Betting all possible combinations in a multi-horse wager such as exacta, trifecta or superfecta. There is no specific order to the placement of the horses. For example: you place a $3 exacta box bet on number 5 and number 6. This is a total bet of $6 because there are two possible outcomes. You win your horse racing bet if number 5 finishes first and number 6 finishes second or vice versa.

Daily Double
Type of horse racing bet calling for the selection of winners of two consecutive horse races, usually the first and second.

Pick 3
In this horse racing bet you wager on the winners of three consecutive horse races. Each of your horses must win their race for the horse racing ticket to be a winner.
