Kentucky Derby Wagering - Blue Grass & Illinois Recaps at Sports Gambling

Kentucky Derby wagering fans got a good preview of one of the chalks to make a Kentucky Derby bet online with in the Blue Grass Stakes.

Kentucky Derby wagering handicappers also learned about a lesser known but potentially dangerous horse to make a Kentucky Derby bet online with from Illinois.

General Quarters was one of the early touted favorites in the Kentucky Derby wagering community and he certainly earned extra respect and attention by taking the Blue Grass Stakes with a close length and a half win over hard charging Hold Me Back to take the $750,000 purse.

General Quarters is owned and trained by Thomas McCarthy who said that General Quarters showed the tenacity to make the Kentucky Derby wagering field.

It was also an important win because General Quarters let down a lot of handicappers that originally had plans to make a Kentucky Derby bet online with him when he finished a disappointing fifth in the Tampa Bay Derby.

Jockey Eibar Coa took the mount on General Quarters for the first time and it was the perfect combination to earn a spot in the Kentucky Derby wagering lineup.

While General Quarters took the early lead in the Blue Grass Stakes he was later caught up in traffic before stalking the leader in the backstretch and then making his charge at the turn for a thrilling and encouraging payoff.

Mafaaz was also mentioned as a strong Kentucky Derby wagering contender but may have had his hopes ruined at the Blue Grass Stakes by finishing a poor eighth.  Musket Man had a must win or show race at the Illinois Derby and came through with a clutch victory that earned him a spot in the Kentucky Derby wagering lineup.

The under regarded Musket Man will enter the “Run for the Roses” with plenty of Kentucky Derby wagering momentum as he has won five of his last six races.  In the Illinois Derby he beat out Giant Oak by 2 lengths.  Giant Oak is also listed on the Kentucky Derby wagering board but as a long shot. is your best bet for Kentucky Derby action.
