Kentucky Derby Odds Keys and Wheels at Sports Gambling

Kentucky Derby odds can be played in many different and exciting ways to maximize your Kentucky Derby gambling experience.

Kentucky Derby odds are most commonly played to win-place-show but keys and wheels are great ways to enhance Kentucky Derby gambling action!  Keying a Trifecta is one of the best ways to play the Kentucky Derby odds.

A Trifecta in and of itself is a Kentucky Derby gambling method in which you select the first three finishers is exact order.  Correctly doing so leads to big payoffs against the Kentucky Derby odds.  Keying is a way of betting a Trifecta in which you minimize your wager while giving you more opportunities to win against the Kentucky Derby odds.

In order to key a Trifecta you first select the horse that you think will win against the Kentucky Derby odds.  In this example let’s say horse number 3.  Next select the two OR MORE other horses that you think have the best chance to finish second and third.  In this example let’s say horses 7, 11, and 13.

You then make a bet against the Kentucky Derby odds which would read as “$1 Trifecta Key 3 over 7,11,13”.  The more horses you key under your winner, the better your chances against the Kentucky Derby odds although the more horses you key, the more expensive your ticket will be and the lesser your profit margin.

While $1 is the usual minimum wager on a Trifecta Key you can wager as much as you like.  Wheeling an Exacta is another great way to enjoy your action against the Kentucky Derby odds.  Much like keying, Wheeling allows you to minimize your wager while increasing your chances of winning.

To begin Wheeling your Exacta pick the horse that you think will win the race.  Next select two or more horses that you think have the best chance of finishing second.  Again let’s pick horse number 3 to win and horses 7, 11, and 13 to “wheel.”

The Exacta Wheel would read “3 over 7, 11, 13.”  If horse number 3 wins and either 7,11, or 13 finish second you win your Exacta Wheel wager!
