Kentucky Derby gambling opened with Eskendereya as a 2-1 favorite to win the “Run for the Roses” and there are plenty of legitimate reasons for the colt being the Kentucky Derby odds chalk. Eskendereya brings a record of success and top pedigree to the Kentucky Derby gambling board.
His big win in the Fountain of Youth at Gulfstream put him on the map with many handicappers who are looking for a top quality horse that can dominate.
In 2010 Eskendereya has had three starts and three wins for a grand total of $622,200 in earnings. Eskendereya furthered his Kentucky Derby gambling credentials with a win in one of the top lead in races to the Derby at Aqueduct in the Wood Memorial on April 3.
Eskendereya went off as a 1-2 chalk and blew away the field in a win by nearly ten lengths. That win served to ease what little skepticism was left and has made the colt the overwhelming pre Derby Day favorite with gamblers. This was a highly publicized Grade I race.
At the Fountain of Youth on February 20 at Gulfstream, Eskendereya was actually the third choice at 4-1 behind Jackson Bend and Buddy’s Saint but was dominant in a blowout win of over eight lengths. The field was quite strong for this Grade II race and it served to solidify Eskendereya’s Kentucky Derby wagering credentials.
On January 7 at Gulfstream Eskendereya began his Kentucky Derby gambling resume for 2010 with a close win in an allowance race by a lengths and a half over Thank U Philippe.
Eskendereya is loaded with Kentucky Derby gambling assets with superb ownership from Zayat Stables, a world class trainer with Todd Pletcher, and a top shelf jockey in John Velazquez.
This is a horse that has no known Kentucky Derby gambling weaknesses. The only issue will be value and price. It is likely that gamblers will want to hook up Eskendereya with a horse at bigger odds for better payouts.
