Belmont Stakes Handicapping May Include Big Drama at Sports Gambling

Belmont Stakes handicapping will have a wide open field with both familiar and unfamiliar entries on the Belmont Stakes wagering board.

Belmont Stakes handicapping will include a host of beaten favorites who will have one final shot at redemption for Belmont Stakes wagering in the final Triple Crown race.

Big Drama could be such a horse for Belmont Stakes handicapping as he was a highly touted favorite in the Preakness Stakes and drew the number one gate but then it was downhill from there and Big Drama will enter Belmont Stakes wagering as one of many horses that have not lived up to the hype so far this Triple Crown season.

Big Drama ended up finishing fifth behind Rachel Alexandra at the Preakness Stakes after being highly irate at the gate as jockey John Velazquez had to take the horse out of the gate and reload it.  Big Drama enters Belmont Stakes handicapping action having run in only two races since December.

One of the reasons that Big Drama has such a light Belmont Stakes handicapping resume is that he is being groomed and saved for the Breeders Cup this upcoming fall.

Big Drama’s main Belmont Stakes handicapping credentials are a career mark of 4 wins at Calder last year and the winning of the Delta jackpot at Delta Downs to capture his juvenile campaign.  He also won the Swale Stakes at Gulfstream Park only to have the win taken away due to disqualification.

How Big Drama would handle the gate at the upcoming Belmont Stakes is one of many Belmont Stakes handicapping questions as not only did he throw a fit at the Preakness gate but then he bobbled out of the gate when it opened to race.

Owner Harold Queen had said that if Big Drama had not started so poorly out of the gate the horse would have likely entered Belmont Stakes handicapping action having come off a 2nd place finish in the Preakness Stakes.

Big Drama would still rate strong consideration in Belmont Stakes handicapping because of his record and also because of his potential enhanced value as a beaten favorite.
