For the auto race fans who Bet on NASCAR, this Saturday the 9th of April we have the Duck Commander 500 from the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas and with the Green Flag at 7:30 PM ET.
This race takes place at the best intermediate track on the NASCAR circuit, an old track surface with grooves that permits the drivers to be very moveable on this track. But, the tires will be an important element in this race, since the track takes its toll on the car tires.
If you bet at a sportsbook you may want to know that this NASCAR season there have been 3 races to date at intermediate tracks, and only B. Keselowski and J. Johnson are the only drivers to win races at these types of tracks. Plus both drivers race well at this Texas Motor speedway, and if you Bet on NASCAR they should be a consideration for your wagering selections.
If you are one to bet at sportsbook, the favorite according to the experts is Jimmie Johnson whom has been victorious in 3 of his ultimate 5 races at this track, making that 5 wins in his last 7 appearances at the Texas Motor Speedway. In his 25 times racing here, he has finished the race in the Top 10 on some 19 occasions. He also is a 6 time Sprint Cup Series Champion. Thus, watch for the Hendrick Motorsports No. 48 Chevrolet to be a sure bet for a finish in the Top- 5 this Saturday.
Then another contender is Kyle Busch the reigning Sprint Cup Champion who last season at this track started 3rd in this race and finished in the 4th spot. This season he has started strong in the seasons 1st five races as he finished in the top 5 on 4 occasions. He won his 1st 2016 title last week at Martinsville. In 2015 Busch had an incredible run with 4 wins in 5 races from the 28th of June to the 26th of July 2015. He’s a driver you can never count out when he racing up to form, as he appears to be doing at present.
Brad Keselowski is another top contender who also at the Texas Motor Speedway has raced well, with 3 straight finishes in the top 5 at this track. In the last 3 races at this track he finished 5th of better. He also was second in last season’s Texas AAA 500. At this track in the last 4 races he led for at least 20 laps in those races. Yes, he is one of the favorites to win this race, driving the No. 2 Ford Fusion for the Penske team.
Then we have Kevin Harvick another contender, driving the No. 4 Chevrolet for Stewart-Hass Racing and he and his No. 4 car always seem to do well at Texas as in the ultimate 3 races he finished in the top 3. Last year, Harvick finished 2nd after leading the race for 107 laps in the spring race, so Saturday watch for him running at the front.
The prediction is that Jimmie Johnson will win his 6th race at this Texas Motor Speedway since back in the 2012 season!
